Follow this path to become a TaijiFit instructor

We have three different entry-point classes into our Instructor Learning Path. These classes, called TaijiFit Foundations, will teach you the basic building blocks of authentic Tai Chi, will show you how Mindfulness can be used to access abundance, love, health and Spiritual growth, and will introduce you to the magic of FLOW.

You can take one, two, or all three. You must take at least one to move to the next stage in the TaijiFit Academy Learning Path.

This course introduces the TaijiFit Method's principles for achieving 'the Zone' - a state of inner peace, clarity, and effortless success. Best of all, you’ll experience Flow for yourself!

Next new class begins in September 5, 2023.

In this course we boil Tai Chi down to its essential building blocks. Every Master knows that the secret to Tai Chi lies in a proper foundation: alignment, breath, footwork and centering. When you learn the Essentials, the rest is... effortless!

This course is a guide to Mindfulness, the path to understanding your true self. The Mindfulness Practices you learn in this class will teach you how to ignore distractions and focus on what really matters.

Once you have taken at least one of the above classes, you will officially enter the TaijiFit Academy. This is where you begin your training as a trauma-informed TaijiFit Instructor.

We have several modalities that you can train for, and TaijiFit 101: Original Flow is the foundation of each and every one in TaijiFit Academy. Just like any school, you have to learn the basics before you can move on to the advanced material. But unlike any other Tai Chi school, you'll find this one to be a joy to attend!

In this course you will learn:

  • What Flow is, why it's important, and how to enter the Flow state
  • A basic repertoire of Tai Chi and Qigong movements
  • The TaijiFit cueing method
  • Safety protocols
  • Why music matters, and how to use it
  • Observation and assessment skills, which are vital for safety in our trauma-informed environment
  • ...and much more

Next class begins October, 2023.

In TaijiFit 101 you are introduced the TaijiFit Method, and learn that the capacity for Flow is in everyone—if only they knew how to access it.

Your next step is TaijiFit 200, where you learn that the main reason people can't access Flow is due to elements called Flow Blockers. Part of our approach to dissolving Flow Blockers is our unique and exceptional cueing method. In this course, cues are broken down in detail to ensure that each one is understood, properly practiced, and utilized.

In this course you will learn:

  • How to take your TaijiFit Cueing skills to the next level
  • How to better manage the stress phenomena
  • What Near Flow is and the difference between that and True Flow
  • What Flow Blockers are
  • Multiple methods for removing Flow Blockers
  • ...and much more

Next class begins October, 2023.

In the last class of the Original Flow Instructor classes, you will learn the philosophy behind the TaijiFit methodology and the Flow State, while learning how to apply the information to your classes.

This class imparts the wisdom of five different schools of philosophy in a way that allows you to combine the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of the program to become a well-rounded instructor.

In this course you will:

  • Learn how to respond to your own life challenges
  • Discuss the Ego and how it impacts all aspects of life
  • Learn about Resistance to Change and what it really means for you
  • Discuss Judgmentalism
  • Learn about the Loss of Meaning
  • Focus on deepening your capacity for empathy
  • ...and much more!

Next class begins October, 2023.

You're Certified! Now what?

With your TaijiFit certification, you can now lead your own Flow Shows, hold classes for civilians and Veterans, and use your knowledge to bring the benefits of Tai Chi to the world at large!

Many people use their certification to lead sessions in person, others via conferencing software like Zoom,—so your options are wide open.

What will you do with your certification?

Once you have completed the Original Flow path, you can expand your TaijiFit Instructor credentials to teach different types of classes. These add-ons allow you to expand the routines you are teaching to your participants.

Bamboo Fusion consists of Tai Chi, Yoga, and Meditation.

In this course, you'll be introduced to a basic repertoire of yoga asanas, and then to the seven combinations that make up your first Bamboo Fusion routine.

You'll also learn about the Principle of Surrender, and how it is used to deepen the Flow Experience.

Fire Fusion is a super cool workout that combines Tai Chi movements with a series of Kung Fu kicks and punches. It's like mixing the calm and focus of Tai Chi with the power and energy of Kung Fu. This workout is a real game-changer for your health. It's one of the more intense workouts in our series, so get ready to break a sweat!

But it's not just about the physical workout; Fire Fusion also teaches us about the Principle of Full Self-Expression. When you do the kicks and punches, you'll also do a "Qi he" —a big burst of breath and sound that helps you let go of any trapped thoughts and feelings. It's like a workout for your body and your emotions!

In this class, you will learn how to use your voice, your words, and different phrasing techniques to guide your session attendees to true relaxation.

This course is intended to focus on reducing the #1 threat to our health: Stress.

This subject matter is so important that after being rolled into another class, we pulled it out in order to give it the attention it deserves.
